We took
this photography about three years ago when we took a trip to Turkey. We went
to Turkey to visit some friends. This photo is one of the most beautiful landscapes
of Istanbul.
This
picture shows the Bosphorus which is a narrow, natural strait
and an internationally significant waterway located in northwestern Turkey. One
can also see Hagia Sophia (Sancta Sophia in Latin), one of the most famous
mosque in the world because of its history. Hagia Sophia is the former Greek Orthodox Christian patriarchal cathedral, later
an Ottoman imperial mosque and now a museum. You can still see many pictures of
Christian’s saints and crosses.
Another interesting thing in this photo is the ferries docked. These
ferries are taken by hundreds of people every day when they go to work from
East to West. In other words, Istanbul has a European and Asian side. So one
needs to cross the strait to move to downtown where most of the businesses are
located.
I also like this photo very much because it brings me many good memories
of my trip and the people we met in Turkey, wonderful and happy people.
